Well,

I've been busy, but that is no excuse.
I have been tired, but that is no excuse.
I have been lazy, and that of course is no excuse.
I have not been.....for a long time, before now that is.

Now I am busy
I am tired
I am no longer lazy.
But I most definitely AM and from now on will always BE.
